Our team designs tools that more than 3MM+ Sellers across 18+ world wide stores use to delivers delight to the customers. The Selling Partner Experience (SPX) team designs and delivers the service and the experiences across multiple touch-points and device types to allow Sellers and Vendors worldwide to setup, operate and grow their business on Amazon. Our team is growing, and we’re looking for a Principal UX Designer who leads by doing, has a passion for solving problems at massive scale and brings their best self to work everyday. Together we’ll re-imagine the Selling experience at Amazon and shape the next generation of e-commerce.

As a Principal UX Designer you will be responsible for defining the Information Architecture and the Design System for the next generation of the experiences across multiple delivery channels. You’ll have the opportunity to work across digital interactions, physical environments, and service experiences. You’ll partner closely with research, product, technical, and business operations stakeholders, to uphold a high bar for millions of diverse customers: retail shoppers, delivery drivers, on-site operators, and business owners.

Key job responsibilities• Define the IA standards, and design systems that scale across products, platforms, and teams and weave these with the builder processes to deliver best-in-class experiences at scale.• Plan and propose innovative solutions for a wide variety of product design challenges including, but not limited to: mobile, desktop, hardware interfaces, physical environments, and person to person interactions.• Offer insights, ideas, and new ways of thinking that challenge the status quo. Lead by example, inspiring teams through your actions to fully realize their potential• Build and iterate on components and UX patterns that enrich our customers' experience.• Develop high level and/or detailed storyboards, mock-ups, and prototypes to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.• Work closely with our Design Technologist and partners in Engineering to craft solutions that make systemic impacts across design and development.• Assess and optimize the performance of new and existing features by actively participating in user research and assessing performance metrics.• Advocate for your design solutions by putting in context the inputs that influenced the design decisions including business and user goals, demographic and usage data, and research findings.• Present design work to multiple teams and senior leadership for review and feedback.• Contribute to the group’s shared knowledge of user-centered design and research methodologies.

Seattle, WA, USA | Sumner, WA, USABASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 12+ years of design experience- Knowledge of HTML and CSS- Experience integrating UX research into customer experience, team culture, development process, and design principles- Experience in managing UX Design and rapid prototyping efforts- Experience working cross-team and synthesizing feedback and input from marketing and product managementPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Knowledge of variety of design tools including Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop- Experience in creating UX for brand new products- Experience presenting work using functional prototypes built with InVision, Axure, HTML/CSS/JS, or similar- Experience designing for mobile platforms

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $134,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $249,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
