To that end, we’re looking for a Video director, shooter & editor (all in one) with experience in short form storytelling, social media video executions and YouTube videos production with experience working with creative teams made up of writers, designers and marketers. This role will collaborate to execute many of our digital video marketing initiatives that help us deliver the most elevated consumer experience possible. It’s about the happiness of all humanity for the rest of time.No pressure.Saatva is looking for a full-time video shooter/editor ‘Shreditor’ to support our mission of developing video content to drive results and user engagement. The person in this role will be experienced in shooting, directing and editing video content for social media platforms.This role will focus on creating videos that drive performance and engagement on Saatva.com, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and other platforms. Collaborating with the creative team, this role will have opportunities to pitch concepts for short-form videos. From ideation to finished product, the shreditor will apply their expertise to develop, shoot, edit and manage all elements of video pre-production, production, and post-production processes.Key ResponsibilitiesShoot and direct remote and on-location videos for various social platforms.Edit footage to storyboard, including audio mix, animation, motion graphics, and title cardsCollaborate with Saatva creatives to identify casting, location, and shot list decisions based on pre-approved scripts and concepts.Brainstorm and pitch opportunities for original videos with the Saatva creative team.Deliver rough cuts of produced shoots based on scripts and shot lists.Execute edit revisions based on feedback from Saatva creatives.Identify when a plan needs to change and trust your judgment to pivot in real-time.Ability to deliver a compelling video within a range of budgets from small to medium.Must-have requirements2-5 years of experience shooting and editing live-action video content, scripted and/or un-scripted, for a variety of platforms and social networks.Experience filming with a professional HD video camera 4K1080P 60FPS or similar equipment.Editing footage with Avid, Premiere, iMovie, Final Cut Pro, or other software.An online reel and/or work samples demonstrating your experience.Commercial or marketing video experienceQualificationsBA in video, film or graphic design preferred.2-5 years of video experience (shooting and editing)Experience and strong understanding of video equipmentExperience and strong understanding of editing softwareExperience working on marketing videos that present a product a bonus.Experience working with a luxury brand is a bonus.Strong portfolio demonstrating video editing ability.Equal Employment Opportunity:We are committed to a culture of diversity and inclusiveness as demonstrated through our recruitment, retention and employee development programs, and are committed to the hiring, retention and success of diverse candidates.
