The Director, GU Regional Marketing/Opinion Leader Liaison - EAST is responsible for developing both opinion leader engagement strategy and oncology congress/conference strategy and execution within EAST Region including but not limited to the following areas: New York, NY; Chicago, IL; Miami, FL; Philadelphia, PA; Atlanta, GA; Washington, DC.This expansion position will serve an important role within our US GU field-based regional marketing team in the growth

of our metastatic Urothelial Cancer indication . The Director will be responsible for all related opinion leader activities aimed at preparing the US commercial organization and the external marketplace for important launches and growth opportunities in this emerging business unit for Gilead. The individual who assumes this role will be responsible for executing activities within a local, regional oncology team to support the ongoing launch activities happening cross-functionally amongst local peers.Developing and executing the regional US thought leader engagement planning for product launch across indications within the

EAST

region

Effectively translating scientific, clinical, and market research into actionable commercial activities

Leading the development and implementation of the regional advisory board plan across academic and community oncology HCPs that aid in our go-to-market strategies

Establishing and maintaining relationships with key opinion leaders and oncology medical associations

Regular OL engagements

Developing and executing regional conference/congress plans

Building the strategic and operational readiness plans for expanded indications beyond metastatic Urothelial Cancer

Aiding in the development of Peer-to-Peer content as well as aiding in the development of speaker slide decks and patient cases

Coordinating the development of regionally integrated unbranded and branded regional marketing tactics according to strategy and within agreed-upon budgets

Facilitating approval for marketing materials through the internal review process to ensure marketing activities follow compliance with medical, regulatory, and legal requirements

Developing and implementing processes for accurate measurement and evaluation of appropriate regional marketing activities

Participating in the annual brand planning process

Cultivating and managing relationships, providing direction and leadership to key agency partners to deliver on key strategic and tactical initiatives within timelines and allocated budget

Collaborating with the HCP marketing team to ensure alignment of key messages and identifying customer insights

Leading as a key commercial member on cross-functional initiatives, often with high visibility within the organization

Basic Qualifications:

High School Diploma and Fourteen Years' ExperienceORAssociate's Degree and Twelve Years' ExperienceORBachelor's Degree and Ten Years' ExperienceORMasters' Degree and Eight Years' ExperienceORPh.D. and Two Years' ExperiencePreferred Qualifications:2 years of pharmaceutical marketing or Regional Marketing/OLL experience

10 years of pharmaceutical experience

Launch experience in Oncology with oral and/or infused oncology specific products

MBA or other advanced degree

Knowledge of the GU marketplace and disease states

Existing relationships with key GU HCPs

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with and present to KOLs

Excellent strategic thinking skills with the ability to formulate, develop and execute strategy

Ability to gather insights from customer engagements and translate market research findings into actionable insights and tactical plans

Ability to understand and communicate clinical data and high-level science

Strong capacity to collaborate with and lead cross-functional teams. Must work cooperatively with commercial management, clinical development, medical affairs, field sales leadership, regulatory, compliance, market research, and others

Demonstrated excellence in project management and effectively managing multiple projects/priorities

Demonstrated ability to lead agencies and other external partners in aligning and developing tactical plans and promotional materials that are aligned with brand strategy

Champion materials through medical, legal, regulatory reviews (promotional review) process

Travel greater than 40% as dictated by business needs, including overnights and attendance at some nighttime and weekend programs

The salary range for this position is: $201,025.00 - $260,150.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
